Arsenal keen on Aubameyang as Sanchez replacement

It seems to be only a matter of days now before Alexis Sanchez leaves Premier League giants Arsenal, and a number of names have been reported as being at the top of Arsene Wenger’s list of replacements. The latest however is that of Borussia Dortmund sensation Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Metro.

There is no denying that replacing Sanchez will be a tough ask, but there are few better equipped to fill his shoes than Aubameyang. The Gabonese international has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific marksmen, and has registered 13 goals and 3 assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season.

The Gunners meanwhile are the lowest scoring team inside the top six, and have actually slipped down to sixth place, with eight points now separating them and their usual fourth spot. The addition of Aubameyang could well make them one of the league’s most fearsome attacking sides, and would at least minimise the impact of losing Sanchez.
