According to The Daily Telegraph, Arsenal could turn to Russian star Andrei Arshavin should Emmanuel Adebayor leave the club, after the club reportedly received offers from both Barcelona and AC Milan worth around £21 million.
Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal will sell should they receive an offer around the £25 million mark, however it is unlikely that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will want to let one of his star players go.
Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola has admitted that he would like to bring a new striker in to replace Samuel Eto’o, whilst AC Milan director Adriano Galliani has told press that Adebayor is the Italian clubs only transfer target.
The Daily Telegraph claims that Wenger has made contact with Arshavin’s current club Zenit St. Petersburg to discuss the availability of the play-maker. Whilst Arshavin is of different style to Adebayor, Wenger is said to be keen to land the Russian star before another top European club comes in for the player and Arshavin is said to be seeking a move to the Premier League.
