Arsenal target linked with La Liga move

Real Sociedad are readying a summer bid for Besiktas hotshot Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to Milliyet.

Having enjoyed a real resurgence under new coach Eusebio Sacristan, La Real plan to further reinforce the squad and return to where they belong next season.

Turkish daily newspaper Milliyet claims that Besiktas playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup has emerged as their primary target for the summer transfer window.

The same source understands that Real Sociedad are prepared to offer €8 million for 50% of the player’s contract, while including a purchase option for the remaining half.

However, the La Liga side could face stiff competition from several Premier League clubs, who are also keen on the 23-year-old footballer.

Ozyakup’s former club Arsenal are reportedly in the mix as well, as the Gunners appear to have lived to regret allowing the attacking midfielder to join Besiktas for a nominal fee back in the summer of 2012.
