Arsenal to bid for Nice star

The Guardian has suggested that Arsenal have emerged as favourites to sign Ivorian midfielder Jean-Michael Seri from Nice.

The 25-year-old has been one of league’s star performers last season, having managed 7 goals and 9 assists in 34 Ligue 1 matches, catching the eye of quite a few top clubs in the process.

Seri has seen Barcelona, PSG and few more top clubs cast admiring glances his way and has now emerged as a target for Arsenal.

The Gunners, who completed the signing of Bosnian full-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke earlier today, have been quite active in the transfer market and they are reportedly readying a €40 million proposal for Seri.

Nice recently admitted they had rejected a proposal from AS Roma for Seri, while Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham are monitoring the situation as well.
