Speaking in an interview on Arsenal TV yesterday (Thursday) Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that his star striker Emmanuel Adebayor had a 50-50 chance of playing against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Togo international picked up an ankle injury in Arsenal’s 1-2 defeat to Stoke City two weeks ago.
It is expected that Adebayor will undergo further tests on Friday before a final decision is made. Manuel Almunia, who took a knock on the head against Manchester United last weekend, is likely to play while Robin van Persie will sit out his suspension and Emmanuel Eboue has a knee problem and is definitely out.
