This morning’s newspapers can’t agree on whether the much hyped move of Andrei Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg to Arsenal will go ahead or not.
The Sun says that Arshavin is ‘on standby’ to make the move for £12 million.
The Daily Star says that Arsenal look set to miss out on Arshavin because of his cash demands. It is believed that the twenty-seven year-old is currently on wages of about £100,000 a week.
The Daily Mail tells us that Arshavin has been shown around Arsenal’s London Colney training ground in an attempt to convince the forward that his future lies in north London.
In other words, nobody knows!
If it happens, we’ll tell you here.

Why are they frustratin arsenal fans.arsenal does not hv a choice in buyin arshavin.We need at least 4 players dis january.2 midfieder,1 defender $ an attacker.Arsenal board should not give any excuse of money. Are they not ashamed dat they build a new stadium over 4yrs witout anytin to show 4 it.

Seriously, i’m a manchester united fan but also a fan of good football. With the way arsenal have played, they ought to be the best throughout the years but transfers have been the problem. Dont complain about money and spend it. U guys need some experience.

my compliments to emma… Arsenal needs some experiance with transfering stuff and arsene, well hes a pretty good manager, but if arsenal wants to win the Premier league ( not that that will ever happen, MUFC will always win) and not have to change their name to have another s replacin the r in arsenal (!) they should spend their money wisely, not on yungins like arshavin the communist… they should go for better players like i dunno, ibrahimovic? a frend of mine said he goin for arsenal.. dont know why.
