Arter completes Cardiff City switch

Sky Sports understands that Cardiff City have competed the signing of Harry Arter on a season-long loan from Bournemouth.

Watford were also interested in bringing in the Republic of Ireland international though the Bluebirds have won the race to secure his services as they look to do what they couldn’t last time they were in the top flight and secure their status.

Arter has spent the last eight seasons with the Cherries, racking up over two hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions and scoring twenty-nine goals while he helped them win promotion from League One in 2013, and the Championship two years later.

He has been capped thirteen times for the Republic of Ireland with more than half of those appearances coming in their failed 2018 World Cup qualification campaign.

Cardiff City go to Bournemouth for their opening game of the season on Saturday and the away win is priced at 7/2.
