Hellas Verona midfielder Artur Ionita is being linked with a summer move to Napoli, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri are in the market for midfield reinforcements and they are believed to be considering the move for the Moldova star.
Ionita has done well since joining Hellas Verona on a free transfer from Aarau, scoring 6 goals in 42 league appearances.
He would have probably shown more if it hadn’t been for several injuries, but the player’s versatility and quality performances have made even some top clubs stand up and take notice.
With just over a year left on his contract with Verona and the team set to be relegated to Serie B, Napoli believe the time is right to try and lure the 25-year-old to Stadio San Paolo.
Artur Ionita is widely regarded as one of the best players in the history of Moldovan football and he has so far scored 2 goals in 21 appearances for the national team.
