AS Roma, Napoli battle for Kasper Dolberg

Sport Mediaset has suggested that Italian giants AS Roma and Napoli are hot on the trail of Ajax starlet Kasper Dolberg.

The 19-year-old has shown incredible potential during his debut Eredivisie campaign and the Amsterdammers are bracing for offers from top European clubs.

Italian sides appear to have been especially impressed by the Danish forward, with AS Roma and Napoli reportedly ready to step up their interest.

The Giallorossi lack proper cover for star striker Edin Dzeko and they seem to believe that Dolberg can develop into a high-quality footballer in a couple of years.

Meanwhile, Napoli do have Arkadiusz Milik and Leonardo Pavoletti vying for the centre forward position, but the fact that winger Dries Mertens has mostly been used as a lone striker this term is enough to suggest that head coach Maurizio Sarri doesn’t seem to be too happy with his current options.
