Premier League champions Chelsea continue their search for reinforcements and if latest reports from Italy are to be believed the Blues are closing in on a pair of signings from Serie A side AS Roma.

Antonio Conte is believed to be looking to increase competition in the attacking line as he is currently unhappy with the lack of cutting edge following Diego Costa’s departure.

The Blues have been linked with a number of players including surprise targets such as Peter Crouch or Islam Slimani but Italian media now claim that the Premier League giants are set to sign AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

The former Manchester City striker is said to be unhappy that Giallorossi are open to selling him to Blues but is aware his time in Rome might be up.

The Bosnian is likely to be joined with teammate Emerson Palmieri who is also a part of the deal as Chelsea are negotiating about both players.
