Aston Villa eye Tuanzebe

Championship promotion hopefuls Aston Villa are interested in agreeing a loan deal for Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe, according to the Express.

A number of sides are keen to secure the services of the twenty year old, who’s only league appearances this season came as a late substitute in the 2-0 win at Everton on New Years’ Day.

He broke into the United first team towards the end of last season, playing in their final four league games, helping the side to three clean sheets in that time.

Internationally, he made his debut for England’s U21s in November last year when he played in the final thirty-four minutes of a 2-0 win over Ukraine in the European Championships.

Should the transfer materialise Tuanzebe could make his Villa debut against Sheffield United on Tuesday evening.

Steve Bruce’s side currently sit in fourth place in the table, three points behind Derby County who occupy the final automatic promotion spot.
