French media outlet Le 10 Sport is reporting that Aston Villa and Sunderland are among clubs showing interest in Bordeaux hotshot Wahbi Khazri.

It was Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo that first made a move on the Tunisian footballer this winter, but the Premier League strugglers have joined the race as well.

According to Le 10 Sport, Aston Villa lead the chase at the moment and they are set to make an official proposal for his services.

Sunderland could make their interest concrete as well, with Bordeaux bracing themselves for late bids from England.

Even though les Girondins would rather they held on their prized possession, the Ligue 1 side are ready to consider serious offers for their star player.

Wahbi Khazri, 24, has been in excellent form ever since he joined Bordeaux from Bastia, netting 14 times in 52 league appearances, while also producing 14 assists in the process.
