After failing to secure the long term services of Liverpool shot-stopper, Scott Carson, Aston Villa are looking for two new goalkeepers. Paul Robinson is thought to be their primary target, but they will also need a second-choice goalkeeper.
According to The Sun, that second choice could be Manchester United’s Ben Foster. Foster had an impressive two year loan spell with Watford before returning to Manchester United where ligament injury kept him out for most of last season.
Many Manchester United fans expect to see Foster being eased into the first team next season, but Martin O’Neill is hoping to provide Sir Alex Ferguson with an alternative. According to the report in The Sun, O’Neill would be happy to bring Foster in on a season long loan.
