Athletic starlet in high demand

Basque TV station ETB has learned that several Spanish sides are showing interest in Athletic Bilbao youngster Inaki Williams.

The 20 year old recently broke into the first team set up at San Mames and he has already started showing his undoubted potential.

Williams has failed to register a goal in five La Liga outings, but he scored his first ever senior goal in the Europa League draw with Torino.

He seems to have done enough to catch the eye of visiting scouts, with Real Betis, Almeria and Getafe reportedly showing interest in the forward’s services.

Athletic Bilbao officials rate the youngster highly as witnessed by his €20 million release clause, and they believe he can develop into a very good footballer.

Before he was promoted to the senior side, Williams had impressed playing for the reserves in Spain’s third tier, having bagged no less than 21 goals in 32 league outings.
