Atletico close to agreeing Diego Costa deal

Spanish daily newspaper Marca is reporting that Atletico Madrid have all but reached an agreement to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea.

It is no secret that the Spaniard is keen on returning to Vicente Calderon and latest reports suggest the clubs have agreed on a €60 million transfer fee.

Diego Costa is not in Antonio Conte’s first team plans and the Blues are happy to let him leave in the January window.

If it hadn’t been for Atletico’s transfer ban, the striker would have joined los Colchoneros this summer, but this way, he will have to wait until January.

Diego Costa has been registered for the Premier League after failing to move during the summer transfer window and he is now about to end his exile and return to Stamford Bridge in order to speed up a transfer to Atletico Madrid.
