Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro, according to L’Equipe.
Los Colchoneros are looking at a number of players as they hope to recruit a high-quality centre forward and reports from France suggest they have now turned their attention to the former PSG striker.
Atletico Madrid hold a long-standing interest in Gameiro, and with the Frenchman having largely impressed last season, they are determined to bring him to Estadio Vicente Calderon.
Los Colchoneros recently held an initial meeting with their Sevilla counterparts to discuss the possibility of signing the 29-year-old attacker.
Gameiro has also been linked with Barcelona and few more top clubs after an excellent season that saw him bag 29 goals and lift the Europa League trophy.
And with just two years left on his contract at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, it remains to be seen whether Sevilla can keep hold of his services.
