Atletico Madrid eyeing Nice hotshot

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are weighing up January move for Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien, according to Le 10 Sport.

Les Aiglons have enjoyed a tremendous season so far, and the 21-year-old footballer has been one of their star performers.

Despite only joining Nice from Lens in the summer, Cyprien could now get a chance to cash in on his excellent displays as Atletico Madrid appear to be hot on his trail.

Los Colchoneros were showing interest in the central midfielder even before he made a switch to Nice, and they are now convinced he would be a great addition to the squad at Vicente Calderon.

Atletico Madrid officials aim to rejuvenate the midfield department and Cyprien definitely fits their plans.

Despite operating in the middle of the park, the youngster has managed 5 goals and 2 assists in 17 league outings, helping Nice climb to the top of Ligue 1 standings.
