Spanish La Liga high flyers Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Lens midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin, according to Le 10 Sport.
The 20-year-old has been a member of the senior side for three years now and he has shown a great deal of potential so far.
The holding midfielder, who can also operate at centre-back and right-back, made 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Lens, while also featuring in 51 Ligue 2 matches.
And it appears that his impressive showings did not go unnoticed, with Standard Liege and Hellas Verona earlier expressing their interest in his services.
However, the latest reports claim that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are keen as well, although they have yet to make an official proposal for the youngster’s services.
Gbamin is a member of France Under-21 side and he has been called to the squad for upcoming games against Scotland and FYR Macedonia.
