Atletico de Madrid believe that they can sign French star Samir Nasri from under the noses of Arsenal, according to website Goal.com.
Despite Arsenal being on the verge of signing the Frenchman for weeks now, no deal can go through until France’s Euro 2008 campaign is over which has led to to Madrid offering Nasri another escape route out of France.
With Atletico being able to offer more money to both Nasri and Marseille it is likely that the Spanish club could prove to be real contenders for Nasri.
Nasri, 20, has been labelled as the “next Zinedine Zidane” by many in France and reports went as far to suggest that Nasri had put pen to paper at the Emirates. Now with Madrid in the frame, Nasri’s transfer to Arsenal may not be a straight-forward as previously thought.

Got something to say?

Goal.com??? Anyway it was confirmed that Nasri signed a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal before Euro ‘08 but due to the fact the tournament was very near, Domenech and Marseille didn’t want him to fly to London to do his medicals right away, because they wanted him to focus. That is what the hold up is. So Atletico Madrid will be in some big legal issues if they try to “steal Nasri from under the nose of Arsenal.”
Wouldn’t be at all surprised Nazri didn’t come to us as i’ve been saying all along this supposed transfer looks very suspicious. Any player who really wanted to join us would have signed on the dotted line well before now. As for the words from the players camp “find the Arsenal offer interesting” they were a dead giveaway from the start. They’re waiting for the best offer when the Euro is over. Somebody tell me i’m wrong plea-z-z-z-e!
doesnt sound like this chap is in the bag either way. Noldi - are u sure u know what ur talkign about? do u know domenech personally do u? i think ur clutching at straws mate. none of us now the truth behind these rumours. anything can happen until u see him on the arsenal website as officiel news. cant wait for next season……….COYS
