Atletico Madrid want €30million for Tottenham target Diego Forlan, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports in England suggest there have been contact between Tottenham and Atletico, but the Premiership side is not prepared to meet Atletico’s demands.
Tottenham are prepared to pay €18million for the Los Colchoneros striker, but will only make their move should Dimitar Berbatov complete his move to Manchester United.
The former Manchester United and Villarreal striker’s representative Daniel Bolotnicoff insists Forlan is happy at Atletico Madrid.
“Forlan is very happy at Atletico,” Bolotnicoff told El Mundo a few days ago.
“I don’t know anything about Tottenham’s supposed interest and him leaving would be very difficult.”
Forlan scored only 17 goals during the two and a half years he spent at Manchester United, but became an instant hit at Spanish giants Villarreal.
