Atletico want Hernadez

A report from the Metro suggests that Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the January transfer window, with Atletico Madrid keen to land his signature.

This move seems to depend on the future of extremely highly-rated Radamel Falcao, who could be on his way out of La Liga in the New Year with a number of teams keen on signing him.

Falcao only enhanced his reputation amongst some of the European giants as he scored a 90th minute winner for Atletico against Real Sociedad.

It is not thought that Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain are the teams who are keen on the Colombian international, and they will offer too much cash for Atletico to turn down.

The Spanish club are set to go straight back into the transfer market though and offer the Red Devils around £12 million for Hernandez, which Sir Alex Ferguson could accept.

With Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Danny Welbeck all looking as though they are ahead of Hernandez in the pecking order right now, he could be ready to move on in a search for first-team football.

Serie A outfit Fiorentina are also keeping tabs on the Mexican international ,but it is thought they will only offer around £8 million.
