Atletico’s Dominguez set for Gladbach switch

Borussia Moenchengladbach are closing in on Atletico Madrid defender Alvaro Dominguez, according to AS.

The German club are searching for a new centre-back after Brazilian Bonfim Dante agreed to join Bayern Munich at the start of the summer transfer window.

According to AS, die Fohlen have set their sights on Atletico Madrid stopper Alvaro Dominguez.

The talented centre-back, who already has two Spain caps to his name, wasn’t considered a starter last season, but he, nonetheless, managed to feature in 28 La Liga games.

Seeing that he has fallen further behind the pecking order following the arrival of Cata Diaz from Getafe, Dominguez could decide to leave Vicente Calderon in the summer.

AS reports that Borussia are prepared to bid around €8 million for the 23-year-old, which is close to Atletico’s valuation of the player.

However, die Folhlen could face a stiff competition from other interested clubs, most of which are part of the English Premier League.
