AZ Alkmaar continue to win in the Dutch league. On Saturday, the reigning Eredivisie champions cruised to a 6-2 victory over last-placed RKC Waalwijk.

In a very entertaining match, AZ needed less than a minute for Mounir El Hamdaoui to open the score. Benjamin de Ceulaer levelled in the eighth, but Moussa Dembele restored AZ’s advantage a minute later, 2-1.

From here on it was all AZ as Dick Advocaat’s men got a third through Hector Moreno in the 21st minute and El Hamdaoui made it 4-1 ten minutes before the break.

Jeremain Lens netted the home side fifth in the 71st minute, and El Hamdaoui completed his hat-trick three minutes later. A 90th-minute consolation goal from Derk Boerrigter set the final score to 6-2.
