Badstuber linked with Stuttgart return

Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber could be moving back to Stuttgart this summer, according to Stuttgarter Nachrichten.

The Swabians are almost certain to stay without hotshot Antonio Rudiger and they will attempt to replace the Germany starlet with the Bavarians footballer.

Stuttgart hope to recruit Badstuber on a season-long loan, and the deal definitely looks like it could suit all the parties concerned.

Namely, the 26-year-old only recently returned from a lengthy injury lay-off and a loan spell with Stuttgart would offer him an opportunity to get his career back on track.

Due to the fierce competition for starting places at Allianz Arena, Badstuber would probably be better off spending one season with the Swabians.

The talented defender had spent two years at Stuttgart between 2000 and 2002 before joining Bayern Munich, but he graduated from the Bavarians’ youth academy, before going on to make 111 Bundesliga appearances for the club.
