Bale to Man United looking increasingly realistic

It seems as though Spanish super club Real Madrid will try anything at this point to get hold of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea. The Premier League giants have rebuffed several offers from Los Blancos, including a swap deal involving Karim Benzema.

There is however a new rumour that could get Jose Mourinho to sit up and take notice. If reports are to be believed, Real are considering shifting long time United target Gareth Bale over to Old Trafford in order to secure De Gea’s services, according to the Star.

Bale’s career in the Spanish capital has been ravaged by injury, and he has managed just 11 appearances in La Liga this season, two of which have come from the bench. Despite his lack of minutes, the Welsh international has scored six times, and is without a doubt a star player when fit.

Manchester United need to make a big statement in the summer if they are going to put up more of a challenge against their City rivals next season, having all but surrendered the league title to them for this campaign.
