Mario Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola has hit back at the FA for charging the Manchester City striker with violent conduct.
Balotelli faces a four-match ban for an incident involving Scott Parker in Manchester City’s 3-2 win at the Etihad Stadium, in which the Italian appeared to aim a stamp at the Tottenham midfielder.
And now Balotelli has until Wednesday to decide whether or not to appeal, and risks missing further games.
Balotelli’s agent Raiola is angry with the FA’s decision, and believes it could drive the Italian striker to leave Manchester City and the Premier League altogether.
“I am very angry, Mario has done an involuntary gesture,” Raiola told reporters in Italy.
Raiola also suggested match official Howard Webb had seen the incident, contrary to the referee’s claims he would have sent the player off had he observed the clash first hand.
“The referee was a coward because he has seen everything.”
“The FA must defend Balotelli, otherwise may think to leave England. In the Premier League there are absurd regulations.”
