Barca and Real eyeing Llorente

Spanish TV programme Punto Pelota has revealed that El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real are keeping close tabs on Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.

The 28-year-old only joined the Bianconeri in the summer transfer window, arriving on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao, but he has found it hard to adapt to his new surroundings.

Having made just one substitute appearance in club’s first three games of the season, it appears as though Llorente is not held in high regard by boss Antonio Conte.

According to Punto Pelota, long-term admirers Barcelona and Real Madrid plan to take advantage of the situation and offer the player an escape route from Turin.

The La Liga rivals hope to sign the player on a six-month loan in January, which could be the best solution for all the parties concerned.

Chances are that Llorente would be keen on a return to Spain, especially having also lost his place in the national team.
