Barca fear key for Moratti’s Inter-mission

(GSM) – Internazionale president Massimo Moratti has revealed that his side are scared of their Champions League semi-final opponents Barcelona.

Barcelona travel to the San Siro for the first leg of the semi-final and are favorites to lift the Champions League title for the second time in as many years.

Despite the difficult opponents, Moratti still believes that coach Jose Mourinho can guide the Nerazzurri past the Catalans and into the final.

The two sides met in the group stage of this season’s competition, Inter drawing 0-0 at home before losing 2-0 to a Barcelona outfit missing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the mercurial Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.

This time around, Moratti expects Inter to put up a better fight, despite facing a team widely regarded as the best int he world.

“I expect a great game,” Moratti said. “There is always a little fear when you play against such a strong team.

“On the other hand, fear makes part of a sportsmen’s feelings. But there is the consciousness that we have a good team. We hope to do well.”

When asked if the match has come one stage too early in the competition, Moratti said: “Unfortunately, that’s the way it is, but we’ll see who reaches the final.

“For us, the Bernabeu is a very important stadium. But first we are thinking about tonight’s game.”
