Barcelona youngster Cristian Tello is set to sign a contract renewal at Camp Nou, El Mundo Deportivo has revealed.
The talented forward has entered the final year of his deal, which has seen him linked with a move away from the club in the summer transfer window, but it now appears the Catalans will be able to keep hold of the 21-year-old.
El Mundo Deportivo understands that the player is on the verge of signing a new deal until June 2016.
The agreement between Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and the player’s representative Jose Maria Orobitg is already in place, with the deal set to be made official in the coming days.
Cristian Tello had a breakthrough season at Barcelona last term, having scored 3 goals in 15 La Liga appearances, while he has already made three league starts this term.
Even if the Catalans received numerous offers for the player’s services last summer, they managed to persuade the player that his future lies at Camp Nou.
