Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu has warned clubs trying to sign Alexis Sanchez that the forward is ‘not for sale’.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Monaco are all reported to be interested in signing the Chile international ahead of the new season.
With Alexis battling with Lionel Messi, Neymar, Pedro and Cristian Tello for a starting place under Gerardo Martino, his first-team chances could be limited, but Bartomeu is keen to emphasise he still has a future at Camp Nou.
“Alexis is not for sale. We trust in his ability,” he told El Mercurio.
“It has long been speculated that he may leave, but not since he arrived at the club have we received a proposal.
“He will continue with us.
“We are pleased with his performances and we will not make him available in the transfer market.”
Alexis scored eight goals in 29 La Liga appearances last season as Barcelona secured their 22nd title.
