Barca line up Alves replacement; Juve and PSG vying for Jovetic

Catalan daily newspaper Sport has learned that Barcelona are hot on the trail of FC Porto full-back Danilo Luiz da Silva.

The Catalans look set to stay without Dani Alves, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and they are actively searching for his replacement.

And after Chelsea completed the signing of long-term target Juan Cuadrado, Barcelona officials have turned their attention towards FC Porto starlet Danilo.

The 23-year-old appear to be the number one name on club’s hit list and the Catalans are expected to submit an official proposal when their transfer ban gets lifted in January 2016.

Danilo’s current release clause stands at €50 million, but the good news is his contract is due to expire in June 2016.

Italian giants Juventus reportedly attempted to recruit the Brazilian in the January window, but their €13 million proposal was swiftly rejected.

Juve and PSG vying for Jovetic

European powerhouses Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic, Tuttosport has suggested.

The Montenegrin forward has been left out of City’s Champions League squad, which is enough to suggest his future at Etihad is in doubt.

Long-term admirers Juventus are likely to be alerted by the latest developments as they still need to sign a new striker with Sebastian Giovinco leaving and Alessandro Matri unlikely to remain beyond the summer.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain appear to have joined the race for the former Forentina star, given that they could stay without Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani at the end of the season.

Stevan Jovetic joined the Citizens from Fiorentina in the summer of 2013 and has since scored 8 goals in just 11 Premier League starts.

However, his first team chances will be limited after the arrival of Wilfried Bony and he could easily leave the club in the summer.

Gignac set for summer exit

Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has decided to leave the club at the end of the season, according to Le Parisien.

The highly rated forward has a deal until June 2015 at Stade Velodrome, but he was prepared to remain with OM despite the interest from abroad.

However, with the club chiefs having failed to offer him a new contract, Gignac has finally decided to quit in the summer transfer window.

Following a string of excellent performances this season, the 29-year-old should have no shortage of offers in the summer.

Gignac has been one of Marseille’s star performers this season, bagging 14 goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances.

OM currently sit two points behind leaders Lyon and they can be backed at 10/1 to lift the league trophy.
