Barca’s Tello set for permanent Porto switch

Barcelona winger Cristian Tello will soon complete a permanent move to FC Porto, according to Catalan media outlet Sport.

The talented footballer joined the Dragons on a two-year loan deal last summer, with an €8 million buy-out clause included in the contract.

And while Barcelona have the option to cut the loan short at the end of the current season, they are unlikely to do so given that Porto officials aim to trigger the release clause in the coming weeks.

The Dragons have been impressed with the 23-year-old’s performances and they believe Tello can develop into a key member of the squad at Estadio do Dragao.

Josep Maria Orobitg and Pep Setvalls, representatives of the Spanish forward, have arrived in Portugal for a new round of talks with FC Porto chiefs, as they want to get the best possible deal for their client.

Since joining the Dragons in the summer, Tello has scored 6 goals in 22 league outings, bagging no fewer than four goals in last two matches.
