Real Madrid were the bookies’ favourite for the league title after winning the Champions League and Copa Del Rey last season, but Los Blancos have had an awful start to the new campaign, currently sitting six pints adrift of their fierce rivals. The league holders, Atletico Madrid, are hot on Barca’s heels, however. Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten too and are hoping they can make the ground when Barca slip up.
