Barcelona close on Pogba; Lloris confirms Man Utd interest

hot-transfer-newsBarcelona close on Pogba

Daily Express is reporting that Barcelona are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.

The Catalans are reportedly in advanced talks with the Bianconeri as they aim to add the Frenchman to their ranks as early as next January.

This has seen Manchester City pull out of the chase for the midfielder’s signature, and it only remains to be seen how much Barcelona will pay for the 22-year-old footballer.

Paul Pogba has seen his stock rise a great deal since he arrived on a free transfer from Manchester United three years ago.

The France star went on to make 92 Serie A appearances for Juventus, scoring 20 goals in the process.

Pogba has also become an important member of the France national team and he will be among players to watch at the Euro 2016 finals.

Lloris confirms Man Utd interest

Tottenham star Hugo Lloris has all but confirmed that he could have joined Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils were reportedly ready to make a move on the France number one when David De Gea leaves, but the deal ultimately fell through as the Spaniard remained at Old Trafford.

Hugo Lloris has now moved to confirm that there was a possibility of moving to Manchester United this summer.

“The interest of Manchester United? There could have been an evolution, but there was none,” Lloris told beIN Sports.

Hugo Lloris has so far resisted temptation to leave Tottenham Hotspur for greener pastures, but his patience may quickly run out unless the Spurs show considerable improvement.

The White Hart Lane outfit finally recorded the first win of the season and can now be backed at 10/1 for a top 4 finish.

Carrillo to commit future to Sporting

Peruvian winger Andre Carrillo will be signing a new deal with Sporting Lisbon, the Portuguese club has suggested.

The 24-year-old has caught the eye of quite a few top sides with some impressive displays for club and country, and he was on the radar of both Stoke City and Leicester City this summer.

With his contract due to expire in a year’s time, it was believed he will eventually leave Sporting Lisbon, but it appears he has decided to extend his stay at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

The Lions chief Augusto Inacio has moved to reveal that the player has verbally agreed to sign a new deal with the club.

“If Carrillo, who said yes and shook hands with the Sporting chairman, keeps his word, he will sign with Sporting tomorrow (Monday),” Inacio told SIC Noticias.

Andre Carrillo has managed 16 goals and 39 assists in 162 competitive appearances for the Lions, while also becoming an important player for the Peru national team.
