Barcelona eyeing Herrera move

Barcelona are considering a move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, according to Talksport.

The Spaniard moved to Old Trafford last summer, and has impressed in his debut season in England with seven goals in twenty-five appearances in all competitions – a haul which includes a match winning brace in last month’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

Internationally, the former Athletic Bilbao man has been capped at every level from U20 to U23, but is yet to receive a call up at senior level.

With club legend Xavi set to move to the MLS at the end of the season, Barca manager Luis Enrique is on the lookout for a new midfielder and has identified his fellow countryman as the one to fill the void.

The Catalan club currently sit top of La Liga, two points clear of rivals Real Madrid, and can now be backed at 1/4 to win the title.
