The Mirror understands that Barcelona are ready to join the race to sign Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian.
The Italy international has been linked with a return to his home country in recent weeks with Inter Milan closely monitoring his situation and now La Liga giants Barca have thrown their hat in the ring.
Darmian played thirty-nine times under Louis van Gaal last season, having signed from Torino in the summer of 2015 and he scored his only United goal so far in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace back in April.
However his only appearances under Jose Mourinho have come in the Europa League while he has only made the match-day squad in the league on two occasions.
The Red Devils were hammered 4-0 by Chelsea on Sunday afternoon leaving them six points behind first place Manchester City, and they can now be backed at 20/1 to win the league.
