Barcelona have been linked with a move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, according to the Metro.
The 25 year old has impressed in recent months having moved to Old Trafford from Athletic Bilbao in the summer, and has made twenty-four appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals – two of which coming in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa.
He is yet to make his full international debut, but has been capped at U20, U21 and U23 levels.
With Xavi Hernandez set to leave the Nou Camp this summer and Andres Iniesta not getting any younger, the Catalan club are eyeing midfield reinforcements.
Luis Enrique’s side currently sit top of La Liga, four points clear of fierce rivals Real Madrid with nine games left to play after winning eleven of their last twelve league games.
They will hope to extend that lead furthermore when they host relegation threatened Almeria on Wednesday evening.
