The Daily Mail understands that Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes.
The 16-year-old is widely regarded as one of club’s hottest prospects and the Catalans are well aware of his talent and continue to monitor his performances.
Gomes is a creative midfielder who has shown a great deal of potential playing for his club and country since joining Manchester United as a 13-year-old.
The talented footballer was handed his Under-18 debut just over a year after arriving at old Trafford, while he has also captained England Under-17 side.
Manchester United coaching staff is convinced Gomes has a bright future at the club, but other top clubs are also keen on his services, with Barcelona leading the chase at the moment.
The youngster is a first year scholar and has a deal until June 2018 at Old Trafford, and he is likely to be offered a professional contract in the near future.
