Barcelona looking at Juanfran

Spanish giants Barcelona are considering a move for Deportivo La Coruna full-back Juanfran Moreno, Mundo Deportivo has suggested.

The Catalans are exploring the possibility of making an emergency signing following an injury to Aleix Vidal and they have quite a few footballers on their list.

While sporting director Robert Fernandez had watched Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin in action last week, he has now made a check on surprise target Juanfran Moreno.

The Deportivo La Coruna full-back is not exactly a world-class player, but everybody agrees that he is very consistent and reliable in both defensive and attacking phases.

Having spent some time at Real Madrid, Juanfran should be used to the pressure of representing one of Europe’s leading sides, and Barcelona coaching staff believe he would be a decent signing.

Since leaving Santiago Bernabeu, the 28-year-old has represented Real Betis (34/1) and Deportivo La Coruna (88/2) in La Liga.
