Barcelona make final bid for Adebayor, Arsenal ready to cave in?

Emmanuel Adebayor has been one of the transfer stories of the summer. The Togo international has made his desire to leave the Emirates Stadium well-known as he searches for more lucrative deals, but no clubs have been able to match Arsenal’s evaluation of their striker yet.

AC Milan were considered to be front-runners, but pulled out of the race when they admitted that they do not have enough money to complete the deal. Now Barcelona, who have also had a bid rejected, according to the Daily Mirror, have made an improved final-bid for the player. According to the same report in the Daily Mirror, the bid is worth about £30 million.

Barcelona are currently in a squad-rebuilding process after having suffered a miserable past two seasons by their own high standards. The Spanish giants have already added Keita and Alves from Sevilla and Pique from Manchester United to their squad. But it is thought that the club will also look to improve on the attacking front.

Let him go!!! while im not yet ready to hop on the we hate Ade bandwagon, as i realise that these days virtually all players are guns for hire, £30m is just too tempting. Ideally i would love to do a Eto plus cash swap, as I have long salivated at the idea of him partnering Van persie. Of course we roll the dice with weather he will climatise to the premier league but im confident he would.

if he wants to leave, just let him go, but make sure you get a better replacement and don’t be too slow in this transfer, monsieur! or you’ll see our beloved Gunners sink in the last competition, again….
