Barcelona, Sevilla keen on Colombian starlet

Catalan daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested that Barcelona and Sevilla are among clubs showing interest in Atletico Nacional midfielder Sebastian Perez Cardona.

The 23-year-old has impressed playing for the Colombian giants on domestic stage and Copa Libertadores and he was surprisingly handed his Colombia debut in March, starting 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Ecuador, and even scoring on his second appearance for los Cafeteros.

At the same time, Perez has caught the eye of top European clubs, with Barcelona, Sevilla and FC Porto all hot on his trail.

The Catalans believe the talented footballer can be a good long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets and they sent chief scout Pep Boada to Buenos Aires to watch their target in the Copa Libertadores clash against Huracan.

Despite his fragile age, Perez already has plenty of top flight experience, having made 120 league appearances for Atletico Nacional.
