Barcelona step up chase for Dembele

Spanish giants Barcelona are stepping up their efforts to sign French winger Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The highly rated youngster recently confirmed he had had a chance to move to Camp Nou last summer, but eventually decided to join the Millionaires.

Barcelona have since rekindled their interest in the player who now seems ready to reconsider a move to Catalunya.

Sporting director Robert Fernandez was in attendance as Dembele produced a Man of the Match performance for France in the 3-2 friendly win over England, and chances are he must have been impressed with the winger’s performance.

Latest reports suggest that Borussia Dortmund would consider offers in the region of €60 million, meaning the ball is now in Barcelona’s court.

Ousmane Dembele enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign with the Millionaires, having produced 10 goals and 21 assists in 49 competitive outings.
