Barcelona has made a new enquiry over the availability of Lyon’s striker Karim Benzema.
With the possibility of both Ronaldinho and Eto’o leaving the club this summer, the Catalans have to find at least one striker to replace them. New Barcelona manager, Josep Guardiola, has already informed sports chief Txiki Begiristain and president Joan Laporta that landing a profilic striker must be a top priority for the club.
Earlier in the year, Benzema was quoted saying that Barcelona would be his prefered destination. The 20-year old is the top scorer in the French La Ligue this season with 20 goals.
