Andrea Barzagli says Juventus are in no danger on complacency ahead of the game against AC Milan, despite their healthy lead in Serie A.

Juve are 11 points clear of second-placed Napoli with six games to go this season, but Barzagli knows the team must be at their best on Sunday, when they face a side battling for Champions League qualification.

“The upcoming matches versus Milan and Torino will be two important games, but we’ll focus solely on the first,” Barzagli told Sport Mediaset.

“Both us and Milan are in need of points. We’re chasing the Scudetto, while they’re aiming for Champions League qualification. It won’t be easy, but we’re preparing well.”

Barzagli needs only two more games to reach 100 appearances for Juve and he is pleased with his progress since moving to Turin from Wolfsburg in 2011.

“I’m very happy, it’s pleasing to be able to play as much as I do. Reaching 100 appearances for such a prestigious club is a real source of pride,” he said.

“The last few years have been the best of my career in terms of consistency. There was a time when my performance levels tended to fluctuate more.”
