Lyon winger Michel Bastos is not underestimating Lorient ahead of Tuesday’s Coupe de la Ligue semi-final clash at Stade du Moustoir.
Remi Garde’s side won 1-0 in the corresponding Ligue 1 fixture, but Bastos does not think that result will have any bearing on the outcome of the game.
“First of all, we cannot think that it will be easy because we won away against them this season,” the Brazilian said.
“They will be thinking of playing in the final at the Stade de France so we know they will do everything to reach the final. They’ll be at home too and will do their best.”
“For the previous game, I didn’t play because I was injured. But the game we played there and the one tomorrow will be different.”
“They will fight more and have a different state of mind. We’ll have to be at our best.”
Lyon have not won the Coupe de la Ligue since 2001.
