Battaglia could join Lazio Roma

Argentinian midfielder Sebastian Alberto Battaglia of Boca Juniors could well be on his way to Lazio Roma. The player’s agent revealed this to Italian sportspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The agent, Martin Guastadisegno is set to meet with Lazio representatives next week.

“If Lazio want to, we’ll talk about this. We could come to an agreement with Boca Juniors and with the player.

“Battaglia would love to play in Italy, so we’ll see whether we can get this done. He wants to return to Europe. He is the most important player at Boca. But there is no fixed fee, a few English teams are interested too. We just need a bid and next we’ll negotiate the price.”

The 28-year-old spent more of his career at Boca Juniors but also played for Villarreal in the 2004-05 season.
