United States international Landon Donovan will return to Los Angeles Galaxy this weekend after failing to make an impact during a loan spell with FC Bayern München. Despite scoring four times in five friendly matches over the winter break, Bayern were unwilling to make the move permanent.
“I will go back with a good feeling anyway,” said the 27-year-old attacker, who joined Bayern on loan in January. “Even though I had expected better results it was a positive time for me in Germany. I thank coach Jürgen Klinsmann for giving me the chance to play for one of the best clubs in Europe, but now I’m looking forward to the matches in the MLS and seeing my team-mates again.”
