Bayern eyeing Griezmann; Benfica close on Serbian starlet

hot-transfer-newsBayern eyeing Griezmann

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are readying summer bid for Atletico Madrid hotshot Antoine Griezmann, L’Equipe can reveal.

It is no secret that the Bavarians aim to sign replacements for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, and the French forward appears to have become their primary target.

Bayern coach Pep Guardiola rates the Frenchman highly and he will attempt to bring him to Allianz Arena this summer.

The problem is that Atletico are not interested in selling their prized asset after he largely impressed in his debut season at Vicente Calderon.

Griezmann, 24, scored impressive 22 goals in 37 league outings for los Colchoneros this season, while netting two times in the Champions League.

Therefore, it is hardly surprising that Atletico are not prepared to negotiate the sale of the talented forward.

Benfica close on Serbian starlet

Benfica are set to complete the signing of Serbian winger Andrija Zivkovic from Partizan Belgrade, according to O Jogo.

The Eagles have been hot on the trail of the 18-year-old footballer for quite a while, and they appear to be close to reaching an agreement with his employers.

O Jogo has suggested that Zivkovic will become the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window, signing a five-year contract at Estadio da Luz.

The likes of Chelsea, Roma and Sevilla were all showing interest in his services, but it would appear as though Benfica have won the race.

Zivkovic has made a total of 66 appearances for Partizan after coming through the youth ranks, scoring 12 goals in the process.

The winger is currently in New Zealand with Serbia squad that have just secured progress into the U20 World Cup quarter-finals.

Porto in talks for Darder

Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola understands that FC Porto are hot on the trail of Malaga midfielder Sergi Darder.

The Dragons failed in their attempts to lure the 21-year-old to Estadio do Dragao last summer, but they aim to make things right in the coming weeks.

Porto coach Julen Lopetegui is a big fan of the Malaga starlet and he is eager to sign him at the earliest opportunity.

The Dragons have scheduled a meeting with the player’s representatives, which is enough to suggest they are determined to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible.

Sergi Darder has so far been linked with Inter Milan, Lazio and Southampton, but FC Porto were the first side to make a concrete move.

The talented footballer has developed into a key player for Malaga, scoring 4 goals in 34 La Liga outings last season.
