Bayern join race for Renato Sanches

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are the latest high-profile side to have expressed interest in Benfica starlet Renato Sanches, A Bola has suggested.

The 18-year-old midfielder exploded onto the biggest stage this season and he quickly caught the eye of top European sides.

Real Madrid and Manchester United are believed to be keeping close tabs on his performances, with Bayern Munich also joining the race of late.

New Bavarians coach Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to add some fresh blood to the squad when he takes over the reigns from Pep Guardiola and Renato Sanches is one of the players on his radar.

The central midfielder did remarkably well to nail down a regular starting berth in the senior squad after starting the season playing for the reserves.

Sanches managed 2 goals in 14 league outings for the Eagles, while also impressing in two Champions League starts.

The Portugal Under-19 international is predicted a bright future in the game, but Benfica face a real fight to keep hold of his services.
