Real Madrid out-of-favour star James Rodriguez is looking towards the exit door at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Colombia international does not feature in Zinedine Zidane’s plans and will be allowed to leave this summer with many a European giant keen on the 25-year-old.

Rodriguez has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, but the latest reports coming from the Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are closest to securing Rodriguez’s signature.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have reportedly reached an agreement over a two-year loan deal with an option to buy.

The Colombia international is set to earn €12 million a season during his time at Allianz Arena, where he will work with former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is believed to be personally insisting on James Rodriguez.

James Rodriguez only made 13 La Liga starts under Zinedine Zidane last season.

The Colombian is contracted to Real Madrid until the summer of 2020.
